As mentioned in the previous blog entry, strengths are current factors that are regarded as the reason why an organization exhibits an outstanding performance. Some examples of strengths are the availability and use of modern equipment and tools, consistent training and seminars for personnel, positive attitude of all people involved, a clear understanding among employees and their tasks and more. If an organization is unaware of their strengths they will be unable to keep track of what they can and cannot do. 

So far, we have determined two strengths of the Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation. First  is their credibility as an NGO. The foundation has weathered several changes in the course of its existence, but, they still remain as one of the most prominent NGOs here in the Philippines. Another one is visibility, with the extensiveness of the projects and programs they have implemented they have already reached numerous areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. They have established and created strong relationships with their stakeholders. 

And, we can still add to the list of their strengths as a foundation. JVOFI has implemented programs and projects that focus on the development of communities. A lot of the foundation's programs and projects are anchored on the Sustainable Development Goals. The foundation's hard work and dedication to reach out to communities has proved their ability and credibility as a sincere and certified organization. Here are some of the projects and programs they have implemented and their accomplishments. 



The foundation also received several awards such as the following:

These awards are a testament to what the foundation has done and is continually doing. We hope to see more accomplishments in the coming years. And here is a snippet of what the foundation has achieved in the first 35 years of its existence.

photo taken by me at the Burnham Lake Baguio City is considered to be one of Philippine’s highly urbanized cities; an HUC is a city that has at least 200,000 occupants and has a minimum income that’s equal to 50 million pesos. Based on the 2010 census, Baguio now has a total of 318,676 inhabitants and during the first quarter of 2012 it has a total income of 377 million.
